Introduction

Leadership is a universal concept. It exists in societies in one form or the other; either as individuals or collective. Leadership at all levels – individuals, Organisation, Community, State/Nations and Global.

People that are shaping the world are those that see and do; hear and do; feel and do. People that lead in shaping the world – politically, socially and culturally.

This programme will empower the next generation to shape their world as leaders.

What is unique about We CAN Leadership Institute?

We CAN leadership Institute is about transformative change in leadership at all levels, individual, group, communities, organisations and in governance.

Our vision is to see leadership transformation firstly of Africa and in the world. We want to see a new generation of leaders who serve others not their pocket.

In partnership with likeminded individuals and organisation we have developed a leadership masterclass for anyone who desires transformative leadership in themselves and in their world.

Everyone is a leader in one way or the other, either through position of authority or through their gifts, talents, skills and abilities that other people need.

The programme will be taught by inspiring leaders across all sectors of society, backgrounds from both academics and non-academic but with extensive global experience in leadership.

We are running pilot programmes this year. The pilot programme is free but there will be a fee for the certificate.

Will I get a Certificate?

The programme is certificated through the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education as a Short Course Provider.

This will be given on successful completion of the three modules.

What Is the training approach, and will there be exams?

The approach is adult learning, experiential and practical. We shall be using a combination of teaching, practice, thought leadership essays, debates, reflections and a practical sustainable community initiative (in module 3)

There will be no written examination but evidential evaluation of leadership – lives transformed, societal service and impact.

• Become an inspirational leader, motivating and empowering those around you.
• Build the confidence to venture into unknown territories, inspire colleagues and resolve difficult dilemmas. This is achieved through a highly experiential process that is intellectually stimulating, emotionally powerful and truly transformative.

• Understand and apply different theories of leadership in relevant contexts and situations
• Understand different leadership styles and be able to identify your unique style
• Be able to adapt own leadership style to different global context
• Be self-aware of their own inherent style, strengths and abilities
• Transform their approach to leading in a position of authority
• Use their skills, abilities and talents to serve others
• participate in a sustainable project developed in a community

What resources would I need?

You will need access to the Zoom platform. All class attendance is compulsory. This is about leadership.

Why is this programme different?

This programme is open to all. It is not based on privilege but on your passion to be an agent of positive transformation in your world.

Every participant will be challenged to self-reflect, test themselves to the highest level of self-awareness push themselves for excellence, think and be about serving others not self.

This programme will develop a new generation of leaders relevant for such a time as this.
